Waterproofing Systems for Traditional Construction

 

Basement Waterproofing

  • PCC Treatment below Grade Slab

  • Grade Slab & Footing

Types of Waterproofing:

  1. PVC Membrane System: Hot air welding system - over the PVC, 1.5 to 2 mm membrane is laid making the surface watertight.

  2. HDPE Membrane System: This is a self-adhesive membrane system which is stuck on to the surface acting as a water barrier.

  3. Combination of SB, SS & MS based Cementitious grouting products & Acrylic Cementitious Coating System (3mm): To reduce the porosity of the PCC, the chemicals are injected which impregnate and seal the surface. This is followed by an acrylic coating to make the surface watertight.

 

Retaining Wall Waterproofing (Vertical)

  1. Poly Urethane Based Coatings: Cracks and construction joint defects are removed via grouting and packing with Polymer modified mortar. This is followed by a polyurethane coating to create and complete the water barrier.

  2. Cementitious Grouting, Crystallization & Polymer Modified Coating System (3mm): Cracks and construction joint defects are removed via grouting and packing with Polymer modified mortar. This is followed by acrylic polymer mortar of 2mm to 4 mm which will create a water barrier.

 

Tanking Waterproofing

(UG Sump, drains, STP, rainwater collection sumps & OHT, water bodies, and swimming pools.)

  1. Grouting followed by PVC Membrane System: Over the PVC, 1.5 to 2 mm membrane is laid having a food grade property which makes it a complete solution.

  2. Grouting followed by Acrylic Cementitious waterproofing system with protection concreting and plastering: All construction joints, cracks, if any, to be repaired with grouting and packing with polymer modified mortar. This is followed by acrylic cementitious reinforced waterproofing system to make the surface watertight followed by protection layers like concrete or plastic. Additional treatment, if required, for the food grade or anti-corrosive epoxy based coating can be done.

 

Toilets/Balconies/Utilities  - 

Defect removal followed by Crystallization & Acrylic Cementitious waterproofing system with protection concreting and Polymer Modified Mortar

  • Defect in the surface if any to be treated.  All construction joints, cracks, if any to be treated by opening the cracks, packing with Polymer Modified Mortar followed by Crystallization product application to reduce the porosity in the surface & create barrier for entry of water.

  • Coating by acrylic Cementitious reinforced waterproofing system to make the surface watertight followed by protection layer like concrete for floor and Polymer Modified Mortar system for walls.  Over this tiling can be done

Defect Removal followed by Single Component flexible mastic system on which direct tiling can be done.

  • Defect in the surface in any to be treated.  All construction joints, cracks, if any to be treated by opening the cracks, packing with Polymer Modified Mortar followed by Crystallization product application to reduce the porosity in the surface & create barrier for entry of water.

  • Two coat application of Single component Polymer Mastic System to make the surface watertight.  Over this direct tiling can be done using the adhesives.

 

Bore Packing – 

Packing the Core Cuts / Bore Packs:

  • Using non-shrink flowable grouting systems for vertical bores

  • Bore packing using Polymer Modified Mortar filling for Horizontal bore

Terrace & Podium Slab Waterproofing - (without Landscaping)

Defect removal followed by Crystallization & Acrylic Cementitious waterproofing system with protection concreting and Polymer Modified Mortar

  • Defect in the surface in any to be treated.  All construction joints, cracks, if any to be treated by opening the cracks, packing with Polymer Modified Mortar followed by Crystallization product application to reduce the porosity in the surface & create barrier for entry of water.

  • Coating by acrylic Cementitious reinforced waterproofing system to make the surface watertight followed by protection layers like concrete for floor and polymer modified mortar system for walls.  Over this tiling can be done

Defect Removal followed by Single Component flexible Poly Urethane based coating system followed by Protection Layers

  • Defect in the surface in any to be treated.  All construction joints, cracks, if any to be treated by opening the cracks, packing with Polymer Modified Mortar followed by Crystallization product application to reduce the porosity in the surface & create barrier for entry of water.

  • Application of Single Component PolyUrethane coating system using roller / Squeeze having good elongation property to make the floor surface watertight followed by protection concrete.

  • Application of coating by acrylic Cementitious reinforced waterproofing system for walls to make the surface watertight followed by protection layers like Polymer modified mortar system for walls

  •  (Screed – Horizontal, Vertical – Polymer Modified Mortar).  Over this tiling can be done.

 

Terrace & Podium Slab Waterproofing - (with Landscaping)

Defect Removal followed by Single Component flexible Poly Urethane based coating system followed by Protection Layers

  • Defect in the surface in any to be treated.  All construction joints, cracks, if any to be treated by opening the cracks, packing with Polymer Modified Mortar followed by Crystallization product application to reduce the porosity in the surface & create barrier for entry of water.

  • Application of Single Component PolyUrethane coating system using roller / Squeeze having good elongation property to make the floor surface watertight followed by protection concrete. 

  • Application of coating by acrylic Cementitious reinforced waterproofing system for walls to make the surface watertight followed by protection layers like Polymer modified mortar system for walls

  •  (Screed – Horizontal, Vertical – Polymer Modified Mortar).  Over this tiling can be done.

 

Defect Removal followed by Laying of Membrane System with Protection layers on top

  1. APP Membrane System ( Bitumen Based Product )

  • Defect in the surface in any to be treated.  All construction joints, cracks, if any to be treated by opening the cracks, packing with Polymer Modified Mortar followed by Crystallization product application to reduce the porosity in the surface & create barrier for entry of water.

  • Laying of 4mm thick membrane weighing 4Kg / Square Meter having mineral finish at one side using welding with torching system with proper termination to make the surface watertight.  Protection concreting with the suitable thickness to be done to protect the membrane system.

PVC Membrane System

  • Defect in the surface in any to be treated.  All construction joints, cracks, if any to be treated by opening the cracks, packing with Polymer Modified Mortar followed by Crystallization product application to reduce the porosity in the surface & create barrier for entry of water.

  • Laying of 1.2 mm to 2 mm thick membrane using hot air welding machine with proper termination to make the surface water tight surface.  Protection concreting with the suitable thickness to be done to protect the membrane system.
